Untitled (Purse), 2019

Untitled (Purse) (2019) is an exploration of inorganic material and its proximity to soft tissue. As an extension to our bodies, senses and emotions, this sculpture hangs from the back of its user to explore the intimate relationship between humans and their technologies. Containing feathers, branches, cloth and more, the materials within the purse become ambiguous and manifold. Obscuring the boundaries between organic and artificial, this work demonstrates how obsolete these thresholds can be.
