Reasons To Reproduce and Reasons Not To Reproduce, (2023) comprising of two engraved brass plaques display the artist’s reasoning for and against having a child/children. Both lists bounce back and forth off each other, with some reasons appearing on both sides of the argument. The highly polished metal plates act as mirrors, reflecting back the readers face, and hindering the readability of the text. Brass plaques are often used to commemorate a historic event, or label a place in time. Here, they are used to commemorate a crossroads, a decision yet unmade and the energy, power and status involved in any decision making process.
