Nostalgia, 2019, Digital projection

Photographs from the artist’s personal digital archive of daily snapshots documenting his life are projected for one minute each for the duration of an exhibition. The archive was made with various digital cameras since the early 2000s. After the photographs are projected, the files are permanently deleted. Each photograph is shown for one last moment, whether witnessed or not, as the archive is slowly erased. The title refers to Hollis Frampton’s film Nostalgia (1971).
