Mail Art correspondence has played a definitive role in the activity of Vincent Trasov and Image Bank. The contact with Johnson opened up a new world and seemed to validate the idea that correspondence work, which arrived in one’s home, was physically handled and was personally addressed, could be practised by anyone and didn’t involve galleries, dealers or commerce.
