Chandelier (Taronger i Palmeres) II, 2021
Producing a complex reality between the interior, built world and that of the exposed, organic world, Chandelier (Taronger i Palmeres) II (2021) distorts our sense of danger and refuge. Wood protrudes from the integrating sight of the overhead lighting, offset the light’s bureaucratic familiarity as an inorganic object. The delicate balance of this wooden appendage, tied together with cloth as if it were a wound, holds half-melted candles and curry spice where the wood pieces meet.
