ChertLüdde is looking for an experienced accountant and bookkeeper to join our team in Berlin.
The candidate must have knowledge of the art world and market, with an understanding of calculations related to the sale of works, their production, and the management of project budgets.

The candidate must know the German tax system as well as international and European trade regulations. They must also be proficient in Excel and other archiving programs.

Accuracy and consistency are required to follow the daily bookkeeping related to outgoing payments, draft invoices, and prepare monthly resumes for the finance department.

Applicants must be based in Berlin and have a good knowledge of German, spoken and written, and very good familiarity with English.

Job description:

Writing invoices
Collecting all documents attached to invoices when necessary
Issuing payments and archiving them correctly
Correctly filing internal invoices from artists and collaborators
Following up on payments due
Making fixed monthly payments
Organising artists’ accounts
Archiving production costs in the general overview and individual works database
Organising project budget planning
Monthly filing with the tax office
Bookshop accounting
Travel Accounting
Financing accounting overview
Requesting invoices for various expenses
General communication in all areas of accounting
drafting of sales contracts

Part-time employment, 16 to 20 hours a week.
