HEIKE KABISCH & ALI EYAL
ARCO2045: The Future, For Now
Curated by José Luis Blondet & Magalí Arriola
Booth 7A19 (Hall 7) & 9D19 (Hall 9)
4 – 8 March 2026
In addition, Heike Kabisch and Ali Eyal have been selected for ARCO2045:The Future, For Now, a special exhibition curated by José Luis Blondet and Magalí Arriola at booths 7A19 (Hall 7) and 9D19 (Hall 9).
The exhibition unfolds through subtle repetitions and moments of déjà vu, linking two spaces within the fair. Within this atmosphere of fractured memory and quiet premonition, Heike Kabisch’s hybrid bodies appear suspended between tenderness and disquiet. Their bulging forms suggest vulnerability, yet carry an undercurrent of unease that lingers beneath the surface.
In dialogue, Ali Eyal’s paintings draw on memories of his childhood in Iraq during the U.S. military operations of the 1990s and early 2000s. His intimate, dreamlike scenes evoke nostalgia and rupture at once, where personal recollection becomes inseparable from broader histories of conflict. Together, Kabisch, Eyal and the other exhibited artists create a space where softness and severity converge, and where what first appears familiar slowly reveals a more ominous resonance.
