San Bartolomeo’s church, Stromboli
10 July – 10 August 2024

From 10 July to 5 August, the island of Stromboli will host the exhibition Eroico (il) paesaggio”(‘Heroic (the) Landscape’) at the evocative Church of San Bartolomeo. This cultural event, with free admission, is a unique opportunity to reflect on the complexity and importance of the natural landscape, both as an external reality and as an inner dimension. Five prestigious Italian artists, finalists for the Stromboli 2024 Prize, will present their works exploring the theme of the natural element and its strength, both physical and imaginative, in an era marked by the climate crisis.
Yuri Ancarani, Benni Bosetto, Irene Fenara, Petrit Halilaj, and Renato Leotta will bring their diverse artistic languages, from painting to sculpture, photography to video, offering the public a profound and reflective vision of the contemporary landscape.
