The entrance to a forest , the second exhibition in the series Say, something. Joan Brossa and the object poems  curated by Marc Navarro , takes as its starting point two object poems that Brossa projected as homages although, despite their commemorative nature, we could classify them as counter-monuments . First, because they move away from the narrative and formal grandiloquence of conventional monuments, and second, because they contribute to the restoration of the memory of the victims rather than the celebration of the victors. To underline this investment, the exhibition puts into dialogue sculptural, photographic, filmic and sound works by artists who, in addressing the notion of remembrance, permanence and absence, eschew epic and monolithic formalism. 

If monuments are often projected as sutures of an official narrative, which is made and unmade, but which is intended to be permanent, the works collected point out the excesses and omissions of this narrative. Thus, issues such as anti-warism or historical memory become structural; however, many pieces present anatomical, organic and plant motifs. By making bodies, flowers, the forest, or bodily fluids present, the exhibition invokes a tenacious vitality and, at the same time, makes these representations manifestations of vulnerability and signs of passive resistance.

Coinciding with the opening of the exhibition, on April 25, 2026, the Center for Liberal Arts of the Fundació Joan Brossa will host a screening of Annette Frick ‘s video Cosmic Elements (or Secret Secretions) , 2002-2003, and a recital by the poet German Chocero .
