Every DayGoMA, Glasgow21 March – 10 June 2012

The installation is nearly complete and the final touches with technicians and artists were happening today and will continue tomorrow. It has been brilliant to see the openings in Objective over the last few weeks and there have already been some fantastic talks as part of this city-wide conversation on sculpture. GoMA is really excited about unveiling our exhibition as part of this programme and if you want to be part of that, the opening is this Thursday (21 March) at 5.30 pm. Every Day is an exhibition about sculpture from Glasgow. It brings together works by six Glasgow-based artists who all use sculpture, to varying degrees, in their practice. Works have been selected for their use of everyday materials and their reference or resemblance to the familiar, common and recurring places and events that we inhabit during our daily routines. It has been curated by Ben Harman, Curator of Contemporary Art (Glasgow Museums) and, in a new departure for GoMA, during the week starting 10 June, Every Day will include a new performance work created by Siobhan Davies Dance, in response to the ideas behind exhibition.
