Nostalgia (15,990), 2019
Digital projection, 15,990 minutes, unique
15,990 photographs from the artist’s personal digital archive of daily snapshots documenting his life will be projected for one minute each for the duration of the 41 day exhibition. The archive was made with various digital cameras since the early 2000s. After the photographs are projected the files will be permanently  deleted. Each photograph is shown for one last moment, whether witnessed or not, as the archive is slowly erased. The title refers to Hollis Frampton’s film Nostalgia (1971).
