Coagula

Opening April 25, 2015 at 7 pm
Until June 6, 2015

Chert gallery presented the first solo exhibition of Zora Mann Coagula, on Saturday the 25th of April, 2015.

Mann created a mosaic-like curtain made out of recycled flip flops, inspired by the project initiated by marine conservationist Julie Church in the nineties. Characteristic of her curtains are mandala eye motifs, which refer to her themes of paranoia and hyper-perception in society.

The space downstairs is occupied by a wall painting, titled Who Are The Dolphins?. The scenario includes abstracts patterns together with more recognisable figures. Who Are The Dolphins? refers to cult movements linked to the website ‘treeofthegoldenlight’, who believe that Dolphins are aliens that will save the world.
